About us

We're One Blessed Community

Our story

Our name is a promise

Myrtle Tree Ministries started small, in somebody's living room. Pastors Tracy and Steph began studying the Bible with a few people who were hungry for something real. In 2020, it became official.

We took our name from Isaiah 55:13. God spoke to people who had lost everything and promised that where thorns had taken over, He would grow myrtle trees instead.

“Instead of the nettle the myrtle tree will grow… an everlasting sign which will not be cut off.”

That promise is for you, too. Whatever feels overgrown in your life right now, whether it's grief, regret, or a season that hurts, God can grow something good there.

We're still small, and we've watched Him do it in our own lives. Come see what He can grow in yours.

Our mission

Love God. Love people.

We exist to do just that. When Jesus was asked which commandment matters most, He said to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and to love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-39). Everything we do comes back to those two things.

Love God

We worship, pray, and study the Bible together so we can know God and follow Jesus every day. That happens on Sunday mornings, on our prayer line and Zoom during the week, and around kitchen tables.

Love people

We show up for each other and for our neighbors. We feed people, pray with them, and make room for anyone who walks in. You don't have to have it all figured out to belong here.

What we believe

The short version

These are the beliefs at the center of everything we teach. If you have questions, we'd love to talk about them with you.

God

There is one God who exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus

Jesus is the Son of God. He lived without sin, died for our sins, and rose from the dead so we can be forgiven and have new life.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit lives in everyone who follows Jesus. He guides, comforts, and gives us power to live for God.

The Bible

The Bible is God's Word. It is true, and it is our guide for how to live.

Salvation

Salvation is a gift. We can't earn it. We receive it by trusting in Jesus.

The Church

The church is a family, not a building. We gather to worship, grow, and serve together.

Our Team

We're a family of leaders who said yes when God called. Every person here serves because they love this community.
